It's funny, this thing dwarfs my M43 by "!" Kami. It's both longer and I think thicker. But it feels lighter.

This thing is going to be the king of heavy brush clearers for all-day use. I may slim down the handle a teeny bit, but the whole thing moves much more easily than I would have ever thought a khukuri of this size could.

Wood Handle: ~12.5cm long (about 5"). 11.5cm circumference at its widest point
Brass Bolster: 3cm
Blade Spine: 12mm (7/16")thick at bolster, 11mm thick at spine "curve"
Karda: 6.5" with 3.5" blade

I wish I had a scale so I knew if I was hallucinating about the weight.

The selling decription said they were all by Shanker, although Shanker (according to the FAQ) uses "KS" in roman script. This blade has two Devanagari characters and a trident (a trisul, right?) so maybe this one is by Murali?

Gettin' REAL sorry I didn't pick one of those babies up. Maybe next time.

FWIW, my Birgorkha villager by Kumar also has his initials in Devangari. :)

I envy that one, donut! Keep us aprised of the finishing progress. :)
