Folks, have you ever received a knife and were glad it's sharp out of the box... because there is no way you'd want to subject it to the risk of damage by sharpening it yourself? I just have.

Still don't know what to do with it. Any real knife should pass a test or two, but I just can't bring myself to any of that. If something happens to this beauty I may have a heart attack.

Are you going to use it? If so, you might want to test it out with some cutting and chopping challenges, no?

The only pic I have at the moment is available at the "deals of 2/22" thread :) But it doesn't really do justice, you can't see neither engraving very well, nor angles (it's very cool how it's thick at spine, but then curves to be very thin at the edge). I dunno gentle folks.. It looks very functional, but I really don't feel like cutting wood with it.

heck buddy send it to me and i'll beat the hell out of it for you and you want have to feel the pain--LOL--and i'll send it back to you and tell you how it did and you can tell it i didn't do that to you--LOL  :)

Here's the pic.....

And the text.....

Now would you look at this! It's called the Bura Bhajra and it's about as good as any short sword you'll see. She weighs in at 27 ounces and is 19 inches overall length. The blade excellently done as you might be able to see is also excellently engraved with 4 auspicious signs from Buddhist religious art. The handle, beautiful chandan, is excellently carved by, I'm sure, the Newari Carving Man. And, I believe the engraving was done by Bura's oldest son. Looks like he has improved considerably since I was him work in 2000. I'm not sure about the motif on the handle -- I think it's a rendition of Black Bhairab -- but I just ain't sure. In case you want this baby it's $245 and probably worth twice that much. UBBB++++++++++++++

Edit:
I don't blame you for not wanting too scar it up Samoand, I don't think I would either. It would be nice if we could get better pix of that engraving. A closeup was done of the handle and it's worth looking the thread up.
Aw hell, here it is..... ;) :D http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=335386
