17.5 inch 31 ounce M43 by Sher. Black and gray horn handle. Real workhorse for $140 delivered.
I can say that this knife is my favorite so far. I very much like the simple horn handles such as this one, and I like the plain blades also, especially with a matte finish. This one is polished, but that's just fine.
The knife came very sharp, the karda too. The scabbard is very well done, and the frog also. The entire package is just very well done.
This weekend (tomorrow) I'll be going out to our new property. I plan to find some wood in need of chopping, and this knife will be the one I put to work. I'll try to take some usable pics and provide all with a good review next week when I am back.
Thanks again HI, Yangdu, and all who make these interesting and useful blades possible.
Someone somewhere asked the question - "Why do you buy knives?"
I can tell you that any tool or object which actually makes an individual look forward to performing hard physical labor, is nigh on a magic talisman.
