*Just got to play with a Black BM42*

Hello, I just got to play with a black coated BM42. The handles have a nice grip to them and I believe that it adds a desirable amount of control to the balisong. But, no one wants to hear a stupid report. Has any one else got to flip one? I am curious to see what others think. The Black is nice, but does any one know what it is made out of... I am also curious (doubting) its durability, any experience on this?

I would get a Black handled BM but I like that shine balis have when you flip them.Still it would be cool t have one.:p Where did you get yours?
 
My Model 47 with the black handles will arrive by noon tomorrow. I am SOOOOOO glad I passed on the 47A and waited for this one. Can't wait till it gets here!
 
The latchless models may not become a reality. :( I was speaking to someone at BM and I was told they are trying to work out the legal issues on the latchless models. From what they said, without the latch, the knife more closely resembles a "gravity knife" and they fear that mass producing it may get them into some trouble.

I was very sad to hear this as I too was really looking forward to one. I am keeping my fingers crossed though.
