Fullsize Griptilian D2 steel came in today. I am really excited about this one. No vertical or lateral blade play whatsoever, locks up like a safe, and the action is silky smooth. It's also extremely lightweight for it's size. Only place I know of to get one with D2 is Cabela's. Been looking for a good sized tac folder to go in my pack with my XD and looks like I found it. Probably would have gotten a fullsize Ritter to go with my RSK Mini but the mall ninja in me wanted a black blade :p. Did some heavy cutting on some hard insulation board here at work and the edge seems unaffected. Highly recommended knife
 
I really like my D2 Minigrip -- great edge retention and not nearly so hard to sharpen as I was led to believe.
 
Lucky buggers, I'm waiting waiting waiting for an 806D2 to become available! :(
 
I've had a D2 Grip for several months. It's my edc on fishing/camping trips. To my surprise, while in the process of cutting off the head of a large Rainbow Trout (it was a 5+ pounder laid on a board) I rolled the blade edge. I didn't think that D2 would roll that easily. The edge came back immediately with a fine diamond hone. I'm pleased with the knife and I like all of my D2 blades - just reporting what happened.
