just had a question about the umnum

also i have a hastings sandshark ii that sticks like hell when your trying to close it! any suggestions?

What linerlock?

A quick dive into CRK's site would have told you:
"A ceramic ball creates the interface between the blade locking surface and the integral locking arm surface. The ball doubles to drop into a detent on the blade to ensure the blade does not open accidentally."
 
I really don't understand your question. The ball serves as the lock face and detent.
