This knife is just passing through my hands for a few days. I am selling it for a friend, and the buyer is coming to get it tomorrow. I thought you guys might like to see it. The condition of this knife is truly amazing for it's age. For those of you who are not familiar with the Eppinger company, they were a large sporting goods company with a special emphasis on fishing equipment. Hope you all enjoy looking at it as much as I have.

If what I'm seeing under the KA-BAR is Reg. Pat Off. that knife was probably made in the early 1920s. I like the dogsheads better than the bullets. The first Dogshead was made in 1909.

I am pretty sure it was made after 1920 from the etch, but it can't be too much after. I really with I could afford to buy this one for myself.

The first thing I would do with that knife would be put some lemon oil on the stag. It brings old stag back to life, enhances the color. and helps keep it from checking from being dried out. It's about like putting leather dressing on old leather. Try it.

Its a beautiful knife, but it looks so...unused, pristine. There's something sad about that, like a beautiful woman who's never been wedded or bedded. :(

Like its never lived.

Yes Sir, Lemon Oil will do I am sure. Make sure to submerge it into a bath of it.. You will start to see tiny little bubbles to begin to rise from the stag filling all the dry area's with much needed nourishment..:D Kinda fun to watch if you are like me.

This actually works with any Natural material such as Stag (as mentioned), Bone, Ivory, ect, ect.. I use Mineral Oil myself. But I am sure a fine quality Lemon oil would do the job well.
