Up until this point, I have made only fixed blades, but I thought I would try my hand at a slip joint. Only thing , all I really had to go by was a small photo of a kit slip joint in a catalog.

This is actually my second attempt. My first came out fair, but this one is a little better. I still have a long way to go, but at least its a start.

Rob you've done a stunning job Sir!, thats a fine looking knife, I very much like the size of the knife as well.
The scales look just great  Forgive me because I havent seen much of your work-but Im guessing I will be seeing a lot more maybe eh? :D
Thanks for taking the time to show us your lovely work.

Thanks gang. Folders are a whole new ballgame for me. I have made so many fixed blades in the last 8 years that I thought it was time to try something new. I still have a lot to learn. Life would be so much easier if I had someone near me who made folders.

There is just not much info on making folders out there. (or at least I haven't found it).

I will probably try a few more in the future.

Thanks again,

Robert

Great looking knife and love the scales, they look great with really nice grain, just looks warm and friendly.

If you do not have a copy of the book "How to make Pocketknives" by Gene Shadley & Terry Davies there are a couple of reasonably priced (for this book !!) copies on ebay at the moment. Hope it might help ?

All the best,
Colin.

Thanks Colin. I'm off to "Flea-Bay" for a look.
