If you aren't familiar with Raymond Richard's work, you should check it out. He's got a great eye for line and design, but also nails 'feel' like few can. His work is instantly recognizable to anyone whose seen a bit of his work before.

Unfortunately, the old guy has a worn out shoulder so he's had to take some time off, but he's back at the forge and sent me a couple of photos that I thought I'd share with you all;

He's a good man and a fine maker.....glad to hear he is still rockin' it!

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

I miss Ray, too. He was a great guy to have around, and I always thought of his knives as the epitome of a certain style. Nothing extra, just all the right parts in all the right places. Well made, and letting the product speak for itself.

He's normally at the OKCA show here in Eugene, I always look forward to him heckling me at my table.

I have been wondering about him, I admire his work so much. So glad for this update!

He has made possitive comments on work I have posted in the past, and it was much appreciated.

If you didn't tell me it was his, I would have identified it as such. VERY characteristic.

Can't keep a good man down, I'm seeing!

I was just thinking the other day of folks who were very active on this forum at one time who we haven't heard from in a while and Ray was one of the first to come to mind.
Good to hear news of him and thanks for sharing.
