Just how rust prone is CPM3V?

I am going to pick up a Fehrman Extreme Judgement, but am not sure if I should go coated or not. I will keep it oiled with EEZOX as much as possible, but I have only owned coated 3V. Is it really rust prone, or not too bad?

I only have one blade in 3V. I haven't babied it at all and so far not even a spec of patina, if neglected it will rust but I see it being quite resistant for a non stainless.

If you keep it reasonably clean and especially if you keep it oiled, you should have no troubles at all. I've purposely abused/neglected my own 3V blades and while it can exhibit minor pitting, it's fairly difficult to get it to actually rust.

Think of it similar to D2 in that regard... much, much better at resisting corrosion the O1 or 1095 but not truly stainless.

I have 2 Extreme Judgments, the one I use a lot and almost never oil it. No problems at all!

I've never had a problem with satin 3V at all.
