Not that I would ever defend such knives, but I don't imagine they were intended for chopping a seasoned tree trunk. Just wall-hanger/decorations I would assume.

But, there have always been junk knives, and people who will buy them believing that they are REAL knives. And sadly, there always will be.

Wait, what?? I have a hammer. I definitely have beer cans. I think I'm going to become a bladesmith starting tonight.

My biggest concern was with the non-existent tang. One swing too many and that blade can head off in any number of unfortunate directions.
