I am in the house today waiting out the rain as Debbie passes by. With Dove season less than a month away I can't help but think about how fantastic it would be if Jerry Busse Jerry Busse could find it in his heart to bring back back the bird dog..... bonus points if they are made with OD and orange handle variations, the new AEBL steel would lend itself to this.

Mine has been on kitchen duty for the last 16 years.
They came out a few years before I found Busse (I think I got my first in 2011) and I have never seen a bird dog pop up anywhere for sale. If they came back out I would buy at least 5.

Thanks for the pictures. Looks like it would be great for deboning and processing game if it ever comes back around I might have to get one.

I try to wash and dry them, but the kids and wife will leave it in the sink and put it on the counter to “air dry”…..but it does give them that “look”. They are my most used bbq / grilling knives used.

Yes, my 1020 is one of my most used knives. I am pretty good about staying on top of its maintenance but blood gives it a patina no matter what.

My girl does that, too. Total disregard for her kitchen knives. Some get rust spots, and one Wüstof even rusted out a few spots along the edge. She only gets cheap knife sets now.
