Just in from BKI

What is it???

(Or, if Joe has been cleaning out his desk again, what is it supposed to be???) :D

Looks like a 274 Echo 2.25 or a 275 Echo 3.0. They debuted in the 2001 catalogue and were not around for very long.

Each year at the holidays I give each one of my crew a token of appreciation for the year, usually some form of Buck knife. I ordered one Echo to try out and thought this is nice and USA made so I ordered 15 for the crew. They came in imported which bummed me out but they made it to the crew. To this day I have been given more good feed back about those Echo’s than any other knife. Anyway a great knife.

I am glad the knives have served you well. Those knives were actually meant as a collaboration with a well known Japanese knifemaking company in Sikeden (I totally butchered the spelling, sorry) They were not what we normally call a sourced product at all. As it turns out, we decided to start producing them in house instead. We got the smaller one in house and half way through bringing the other in, both were discontinued.
Too bad to, they are both cool. I like the idea of a small 2 blade liner lock. Although I think i would have 2 diferent styles of blades in them.

Thanks Mr. Houser
I agree they were neat knives and the sheep’s foot worked great for the second blade. I guess that’s another one I should have picked up extras.
