...And hand sanding like a maniac! I bet this will be my only hand rubbed CPM3V blade ever... :D the steel saw my $100 pile of sandpaper and just laughed! Then it blew it's nose on the sandpaper and told me to go stick it.... I promptly sanded it into submission for hours straight! I think I won but man are my arms tired. :D

CPM3V Pocket Fighter - hand rubbed to 4000 grit





I spent the morning prepping and gluing up the current group. I used a selection of my favorite scales for everything! Sara got a rare mid glue-up pic for me. :cool: I let the epoxy really soak into the scales before glue up; the scales and knife tang are also hollow ground, drilled and sand blasted for maximum adhesion.

 
4000 grit!! That thing is shiny!

Excellent pics dude. Your hands are gonna get carpel tunnel with all that hand sanding!

Thanks! No buffer is needed for a mirror polish if I want to do that... just some Flitz or compound on a scrap of leather will do the trick.

The 3V was the most wear resistant steel I have hand sanded, it is at a high RC though. I'm just happy that it looks killer! I have three more in the group...

carpal tunnel - a true issue, I really need to build a sanding setup! I ground for 6 hours then went right into hand sanding for three after spending my morning on a tedious glue-up... a small price to pay for long term excellence! :cool:

Yes I do! I'm kind of kidding but I feel I always need to push myself a bit past my boundaries... it makes the normal stuff seem easy!

The clip point is my Pocket Fighter model, I am bringing it back in a big way! I have a few in the works. I have had so many requests for them they will be up for grabs.

Mmmmm.

Daniel Ash texted me and said I have a package from you! Boss said I wasn't allowed to call off sick if I already put a half, healthy day in. lol!
