Got this in from KSF on Saturday; a large 25 w/ Devin Thomas Ladder damascus.
My main carry for the last few years has been a small carbon fiber 21 (#25/50). It's been a GREAT knife; naturally, I wanted to add another.
What I wanted in my next CRK was the following; 1.) a Large - I'm 6'4" with big hands, so I thought I'd try a large out next, 2.) Damascus - I have a local friend who's a custom knife maker and I've forged some of my own damascus with him, so I wanted to get a damascus blade for my next CRK EDC and 3.) a 25 - just wanted to try the latest and greatest.
I was at the BLADE show and the new Large 25 Damascus ticked off all three of my requirements. I purchased the knife from CRK and promptly realized there was an issue with the lockup; the blade had a "soft spot" at the base of the blade where the ceramic detent met the blade. It was causing the detent to gouge into the metal and the lock was over-traveling. I brought the knife back to CRK a few minutes later (this all happened w/in an hour) - they realized what was causing the issue, refunded me my money and told me they'd fix the problem and get back to me ASAP. GREAT customer service by the way. They wouldn't let me leave w/ the knife and insisted on refunding my money and getting back to me.
Well, being impatient, I searched online and realized that KSF had some in stock. It arrived this Saturday.
Love the knife and it's great having something a little unique in my pocket for daily carry.
