At the store they have the Sarge 7 ready to go. My wife wants to get me something I actually want for Christmas so I'm telling her to get me a Busse. Question is, who has this or has used it or can tell me about it. Also all the grips look about the same except for color, is this correct? Thanks in advance from a newbie.

No major difference. Some materials have a slightly different feel to them. It s all personal preference and price does not refelct performance of the material, just the cost of acquisition. The blades are of equal dimension and quality. The SARGE 7 is an awesome blade that is remarkably light , but still uncannily well balanced for its size. It actually weighs less than a SAR 6( another awesome blade I just purchased my second). Putting my money where my mouth is, I have 2 SARGE 7LEs( I have this thing for Tigerhide Micarta). It is a knife I always go back to, especially when I am actually going to use the knife.

The Sarge 7 is a great knife. The there is only one handle design for that model, so as dockbox said "pick a color and have fun"!!

Welcome :D

The company store offerings are in as is set up. Usually one model will have the same handle thickness, shape, texturing and profile, unless stated otherwise.

If you go to main site for Busse (http://www.bussecombat.com/home/index.shtml) you'll have a different model(s) than in Company Store with options in handle material and colours, and in blade finish, but you're looking at a few weeks wait for your order to be made.

It is without a doubt going to be one of THE classic Busse's of all time[/url]

You really think so? I kinda like the SARGE more than the TGs... I guess cuz Daryl has one lol.

Edit: BTW, to the OP--the scales on prior model SAR Series knives had sharp edges from the machining that some people didnt care for. The SARGE series scales are sanded down a bit (or maybe just less pronounced), and it's a very comfortable knife. Also, awesome wife you've got there...does she have a sister?

Skunk doesn't sell junk:cool:

He gives that away:D

Sarge rocks:thumbup:

Order soon if you want sarge before Christmas. Plus it might be replaced soon with another model .

Thanks for the info, I ordered the Sarge 7 with the black paper micarta last night. I think it was Scott who replied to my emails right away and hopefully it'll be here soon. Can't wait to get more. I have a couple knives from John Horrigan in Texas and a half a dozen hunting knives from a guy named P.J. Tomes but am super anxious to get this and then more and more and more, I really want a big machete
