I thought a let me get the popcorn out for some funny reading! Great post and nice pics!

Very nice. I am glad they started to use the new vented/perforated washers on the Sebenza. I bet they just wanted to use up all the regular Sebenza washers they already had on hand and when those ran out, they placed an order for the vented ones. People speculated that they were holding back on the new washers on purpose so that they were only offered on the Umnumzaan, but I don't think that was the case at all.

BTW, I really am starting to like the micarta Sebenzas, can you post briefly on how you like the micarta inlays and how the grip is enhanced/changed with them as compared to a normal Sebenza?

I changed the title. It was irresponsible. If you mean to start trouble, please do so deliberately, not as the unintended consequence of a careless joke.

awesome, do you notice any difference on the sebenza opening as compared to older models that didn't have the perforated washers. It is as 'hydraulic' as the umnumzaan opening? Not that the sebenzas aren't smooth at the moment :)

It adds a little to the width of the handle which I like. The micarta also appears to be unaffected by the weather. Normally if it's cold my small sebenza is unpleasant to use for a couple minutes. Because of the Micarta on my large it's more comfortable. The material is pretty smooth, not as grippy as Spyderco G10.

I have never used an Umnumzaan, but this Sebenza feels the same as my other Sebenzas. I own a small Regular and have owned another large before.
