Just bought a small sebenza 21 double lug. My first CRK knife purchase and i cant wait. been debating on buying one for a long time now, just started getting into hinderers so i figured nows the time to buy a sebenza too since these 2 seem to be the king of high end production knives. Fell in love with the 3" xm-18 and i imagine i will do the same with the sebenza. I see alot of reviews and videos of people saying they would choose their sebenza over their xm all day so im excited to finally see the great quality of a crk sebenza. Will post pics when it arrives.

Congratulations Kyle, I'm sure you'll enjoy the Sebenza. I own both and will say that I carry my CRK's everyday. Can't say that about the Hinderer's. IMO the Sebenza is the best all around knife made for my needs. There's just something about them that make them addictive. They may not be perfect for some, but they are perfect for me. Post some pics when you get it in hand.

Good choice! My experience with my first CRK was a little bit of disappointment at first. It doesn't leap out of the box and do a back-flip. Be prepared for a possible initial time where you might questions what the hype is, but if you wait the knife will get into your soul. The small size is "small", and at first may seem too small, but if you put that knife in pocket for a week or two, you won't turn back. They grow on you.

I like my knives small. Ill only carry a 3inch or smaller blade. So sounds like this should be perfect then.

My first CRK was a small Insingo. The ONLY thing I wish was different was I wish mine had double lugs. Not a deal breaker but would be nice.

Why is it almost everyone says the same thing, "Just got my first Sebenza..." like you know your gonna buy more. :)

I said the same thing when I got my double lug small 21 last year. Congratulations on making the buy, I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I do, I've carried mine every day since I got it about 18 months ago.

I'm glad it turn out good. For a minute there I thought that seller was trying to pull a fast one. Very nice CRK. Now the fun begins! ;)

Yup turned out good. Very honest seller. Unfotunately i dont know if the sebenza is for me. So used to flippers and spyder holes, dont know how i like the thumb studs. May see this one up for sale soon. It is a great knife though just dont know if its for me.

Just keep on using it...
The more you see the anodized blue wear away on the thumb studs the more you will see why it's such a great knife.

Once you start using it, it will break in and be easy to flick open. Flicking is fine, but full wrist flicking will void your warranty if you do it too much.

wow didn't even give it a chance... I will agree that I came from mostly spydies and love how easy they are to open, but I would not trade My Sebenza for anything. Even though it needs to break in and a bit different with the thumbstud, I love my sebenza. I love everything about it.

such a shame that the OP didn't even bother to try using it for a bit before making his decision. different strokes for different folks I guess

Opening a small 21 can seem difficult if you've never opened one, the arc you push through feels counterintuitive it's more of a swing than a side push also I'd you feel the small wrong you wind up applying more pressure on the lock bar and the detent ball making it harder to break the initial intent in the blade. Not a problem in the full-size because of the proportions, not really a problem on the small either one you know why. Sorry he didn't give it a chance.
