Just traded for a BM 530 and was wanting some opinions on how you guys like yours. Never handled one or anything. What do you guys think? Pics would be great!

I love the 530. First pic was my newest Benchmade in 2006, second my most recent customized 530-1302 from this year.

The knife is not an Adamas; but for routine slicing and utility use it's lightness makes for an easy to tuck away EDC.

Joe, as soon as i saw the topic of this thread I knew you would chime in. I know how much you love your 530's

This is a knife I would have never considered buying until I handled one in person. It is crazy thin and light.

I may pick one up at some point for something to carry in the summer. Seems like most of the knives I have are quite a bit heavier.

Yeah I think under 2 ounces... Super slim and AXIS..... It's a keeper, very good alternative to the Grip for pricing.

I have the standard version and the REI limited edition CF handle version is on the way. I also just got a 960 Osborne in silver anodized aluminum and it has better ergonomics IMO due to more comfortable ends on the Axis lock bar and the thumb studs. Still very light at about 2.2 ounces. If you like the 530 then also keep an eye out for a 960. They make a nice lightweight pair and are very similar size and thickness.
