Reported in for duty this morning. Found out the truck I'd squirreled my footlocker away in over in Kuwait had finally arrived via a port in Charleston. Well, what y'all reckon I had packed in that footlocker? Yup, my magic Sirupati, and, the wood handled, Kumar made, 18" Sirupati I'd traded for over in Kuwait. I'm in Sirupati bliss!
That "Magic Sirupati" is practically a living thing in my hand, to draw it from it's scabard is to involuntarily start swinging it in arcs through the air at imaginary targets. The reluctance with which it goes back to it's scabbard is absolutely tangible, it's an act of will to put the danged thing down. I may be prone to exaggeration from time to time, but when I tell you my 15" Bura made Sirupati has something unusual, perhaps even magical, about it, I say it with a straight face. It's a good one.
