Just Looked at an CRKT M16 13ZM at a local store.. it seems like this knife has some very good points but some very bad ones as well. When it is open i find it to be very ergonomic and easy to choke up on the blade, it also has an automatic safety, makes it a little tricky to close but really was not a problem. However there were several things i really did not like. it opens smoothly and locks firmly, however when using the flipper i cant get it to open all the way, and my fingernail jams into the safety, and i cant get enough traction on the thumb stud to open it that way, on top of that the blade is chisel ground.
I really like the design of some of the M16 series, but i am very dissapointed in this one... Anyone have some input?

i'm going to have to have a closer look at one of those crkt knives. I know I probably would stay away from chisel grinds personally also. i've found on some of the flipper style knives i have played with unless they have some kind of assisted opening I find i've had to give my wrist a little motion to complete the lockup. I have heard guys adjusting pivots and lubing and been able to make it work however. Good luck with it. ;)

i've owned one of these for about 3 years. the thumb stud is pretty useless. it's basically designed to be flipped open. it flipped open easy at first but now it's a little harder to open. i have to flick my wrist to get it to open quickly. i guess i could oil the joint a little or take it apart and clean it but i don't really care. i beat the knife up and don't sweat how it ends up. it cost me like 30 bucks and i think i've gotten more than my money's worth already

the chisel ground is pretty easy to sharpen.
