I originally posted in the Traditional forum about an old Schrade I was asked to sharpen. The man is a friend of my fathers and this knife belonged to his father. From what I've read, this stockman was produced in the late 1940s or early 1950s. I have the knife all sharpened and cleaned up. The sheepfoot blade had some surface rust that I got off with 3-in-one oil and paper towels. All three blades took a really knife edge and open and close smoothly with no blade play.
When I hand this knife back to this gentleman I would like to give him as much info as I can about the knife. All three blades are marked Schrade Cutco Walden NY. Thanks for any info you can provide. The knife is 3 1/2 inches long closed and has no shield.
