Watched this humorous encounter while sitting at the kitchen table with coffee this afternoon. Two yearlings, one male with his new horns and his sister/cousin (it's a small herd) sharing some corn. He keeps hitting her in the head with his horns. She backs away with a start, wondering why he isn't more careful, and he looks up as if to say, "what?" Things you don't often think about. There are no mirrors in the woods, so the guy has no idea that these things are growing out of his head. The rest of the world goes on in spite of us humans thinking we're so important.
