Just bet her I could carry a small NRG, as my primary blade, for one whole year . I think I can do it! I probably won't make it a week :D, we'll see. * part of the deal is I will be able to carry a small knife in my pocket when appropriate. This will be a small Buck Scholar.

I cracked. 4 days, I suck :). Carring a Skyline now/ Oh well :D!

Annnnd a big old ZT302 in your back pocket as your backup... And it just so happens that you always use your backup blade just so your primary blade is always in tip top shape for when you need it. :D

Why on Earth did you make a deal like that? Tell me that if you do it then she will get you a tailor made custom or platinum sebbie or something.. IF you do.

I could probably do it with a Caly3 if I had to, but I don't know about an NRG, although that is what I carried yesterday and it is a nice little blade too.

But whyyyy?

Wow! My wife would never allow me to voice such nonsense ;)

I'm with CM on this one - my wife would look at me and say something like, "What do you want, anyway?" I don't say stuff like that unless I'm scammin' for something. ;) Of course, I carried a small 3-1/2" lockback for years, as she is so fond of reminding me, so you should be well equipped most of the time.

Edited to add: I almost forgot - whyfor you doin' this anyways? What's in the deal?

thx - cpr

I could probably do it myself, but I'd have to avoid the forums for that year... and any online knife store... and eBay.

What are the stakes?

as she is so fond of reminding me, so you should be well equipped most of the time.

Mine appreciates the "diversity" of my carry :D

I hope the deal involves some really nice knife in return for showing such resolve!

I would never make that deal with my wife. Because she would say at the end of the year, "see you only need one knife. Get rid of the rest".

I told Mrs. So-Lo I was going to try to carry my large double lug Micarta 21 for a year...

She said, "That's dumb! Why in the hell did you buy all them knives if you only want to carry one??? You make no sense!"

She was right, I lasted about 3 months :o

I'm most happy when the rotation is spinning! :D

It can be done. I carried a Benchmade 710 everyday for well over three years. And I've carried my Victorinox Soldier everyday for going on seven years.

My Paramilitary has been in my pocket everyday for almost three months now... I don't plan on a new EDC for a few years.

I carried this heavily modded BM630 for well over a year. For most of that time, this was also the only knife I owned.

I was gonna try and carry my S60V Blur for a while and see how it worked out, lasted about 3 weeks? But then today I carried my Waved Endura 4.
Good luck with your endeavor.
