Just made my first strop

Pretty new to sharpening, but it'll cut paper very smoothly. Just made this strop tonight.



Any thoughts or tips?

I made nearly the same thing, some time ago.

But I made two of them. I let one run with compound and the other one with pure leather.

Let me tell you, that you it needs a little practice using the strop correctly.

What kind of leather did you use?

That looks pretty good you should put some sandpaper on the other side too.

I used one of my full grain leather belts. Read that, that would work fine.
