Just had to share this. I was at a military surplus store near Ft. Bragg where my son in law is stationed and they had a BK7 that looked brand new. It even had the BK13 with it for $75 bucks. I bought it immediately and thought that it was perfect for my son in law as a Birthday, Welcome Home from Iraq and and all around Job Well Done! (Yes. I had a real hard time not just keeping this for my self.... I don't even have a BK7 yet.....) I asked my daughter if he liked it and she said that he had fallen asleep watching tv in their bedroom and the knife was in it's sheath laying in his lap while he was sleeping. I guess he really knows how to treat a great knife.

Made me proud to give him a knife that I know will last him a lifetime and maybe one day he can make his son in law a Beckerhead in the future.

she should've taken the knife from the sheath, then left just the sheath in his lap, and hide the knife...

perhaps a little fake blood on his hands

imagine the freak out :)

That would have been perfect. I will pass that along to her and from what I have heard, she may have the opportunity to do it. I will make her promise to take pictures.

Very cool story. I am new to the Becker craze myself so i can relate. Even when just watching TV at night i tend to take out my BK2 and just admire it. I have gone as far as to run outside and find a nice big stick that i can chop and slice while i'm watching. wifey doesn't appreciate the mess but even she says that its an impressive knife. :D
