Pics are at post #7.

Just made some bubinga scales for my bk5, and increased the edge angle, love it! The hard part is lining up all those holes - even with a drill press, I had trouble getting everything right.

Ah man...
I was hoping to see a sharp edged, bubinga scaled BK5....

What's going on here? The title of this thread is so descriptive.....but the content...is...lacking. Love to see some pics, friend.

You know the rules. Pics or it didn't happen! :D

Now that's what I'm talking about!
That is on sweet looking 5!
Those scales really set it off.
Nice pics! :D

Now that's what I'm talking about! Sweet set of scales. I just wish I could make a set like that.

Thanks guys. The hardest part was the countersunk holes. I cut the wood in half on a tablesaw, then drilled the holes for the screws. Then I cut a piece of pine the same thickness. I had to make many holes in the pine, experimenting with the depth controls on the drill press, until I got a usable setting.

Nice....i fell in love with my 5 too, wasn't sure if i wanted to keep it when i bought it but now i know i'll never part with it

Couple of pics of my 9 & 16 with Bubinga scales from tommythewho.

Still wish I could do this stuff myself but til then I'll just keep buying them. :D

They do exist! j/k They look fantastic! I am about to do my first mod including custom wood handles so I hope they come out this great.
