I got my light box set up but got the wrong bulbs. Need to get 75 watt. These are with a telescoping lens but I ordered a 70mm macro last night!

You can also make adjustments to shots after they are taken to make the colors pop more.

Question, on the first shot were you in macro aiming at or around the forward pin?

.

Ive been playing around with photoshop a little but Im still learning. I was kinda far out so I was focusing on the middle of.the handle.

Yeah, I've been thinking about getting photoshop. I like what I've seen some friends do with light room. All I did on those shots was darken to remove some of the overlighting and then adjusted the color saturation a little. I was just curious if you were in macro or if you were out of the auto settings all together.

I had mine set on program mode, 200 iso, and tried all options for white balance including programing it to the light source.

I was just curious. I have been studying lightbox work a lot lately. Most of my work is done outside with ever change light values.

Mist - have you ever played with Gimp?
free photo editing software from Google, I know several people who like it a lot.

I down loaded it once, but the old computer I was using then was slow as hell and I never even tried it. I have yet to put it on my new computer, but probably should give it a go.

For your knife photography, I'd highly recommend Photoshop Lightroom. I used to shoot weddings, and its saved me days of messing around in Photoshop.

Thanks for the input. That's the version of photoshop that has caught my attention.

I just use a Sony point and shoot, then render in GIMP.

I prefer natural sunlight:

Desaturated, and bling added:

I do have, and use a light box periodically, for the smaller stuff. Here's a few I took for an earphone review I did:

Another light box shot:

One I did with a Sansa Clip player. Natural sunlight coming through a window with a statue, then added the burst, etc:
