This one interested me because of the Idaho stamp, but mainly because of the story.

The person that sold this to me said that her husband broke the blade on his "Anniversary Edition" 112, so right after last Christmas, she sent it in to Buck for repairs. It came back with a new but nine year old blade. Just shows that there are older blades floating around Buck's shop, so it won't hurt to ask if they can match the year model of the blade you broke.

I'd love to have a day or two to snoop around at the factory, opening boxes and closet doors:)

Terrific information. Thank you kindly CA Dave. I've had blades replaced by the factory and thought that wouldn't it be nice if the new blade could be the same as the old blade but never asked. I would pay extra for that.

They did it for me once already. Joe and his guys managed to come up with a new long pull clip blade for an old two spring 301. That was a welcome surprise. When I sent it in, I had only expected them to somehow fit in a new design blade.
