These ferro rods are already coated so I just slipped some bulk fuel line on them. Now they should be good enough for the rain, snow, whatever. I have also decided to cut half the vinyl off when using a rod. I am notorious for turning them into an hour glass shape with a bulge at the end. Maybe this will force me to use the end half first and be more efficient.
