Just moved to the Chicago area; any knife knuts around?

As the title states, I recently moved out to the Chicago area. More specifically, I'm in the northern suburbs of Chicago (I think!). Any suggestions for knife stores, or other attractions in the area would be greatly appreciated.

Also, would anybody like to meet up for coffee or something? I moved out here and don't really know anyone other than people from work.

Here are a few guys that have a "Fox River Rendezvous" each year. Not sure how far that particular spot is from your particular spot, but I'd guess that most of the Fox River is within a two-hour drive of Chicago.

Welcome to chicagoland. I live in the city, but i am often in the northern suburbs (buffalo grove/ hawthorne woods) as my girlfriend lives up there. Send a message if you need anything. As is often the case, there areny many stores the cater heavily to knife knuts around these parts, but gat guns in west dundee has a decent selection as well as lots of new old stock. Also, shore galleries just outside of chicago in lincolnwoods has a small selection of spyderco, benchmade, cold steel, etc. Brick and mortar prices at both places however.
