Hello all,

this is my first attempt at hopefully getting some information on a knife, a hatchet, and a sharpening stone. I apologize for the tall order but I figured this is the place to get answers so I’m giving it a shot. Any information will be greatly appreciated the hatchet and stone I received after my grandfather passed away. Those Jackals were fighting over TVs and furniture while I was in his shop just sitting in his world for a moment it’s magical out there. Anyway the hatchet is a Norlund I’ll post pics the stone I have no idea. Ok I’m having issues posting the pics I’ll have to try again later.

Sorry for your loss.....I did the same thing when my stepfather died. No family fighting though.

Thank you and yes this year and last have definitely been years of loss but I keep my head up and support my family and always try to do the right thing. I am having issues posting pics on here though. Any tips I’m on ios

Very sorry for your loss!!

Try using this site ( postimages.org ) to post pictures. Once you upload your picture, click on Direct Link, it will copy it.
Then, come back to your post, and click on the icon next to the smiley face. Paste the link there.

Sorry for your loss, ones passing can surely bring out sides in people that we didn’t know were there(sometimes we do know).
Imgur is another free image hosting site where you can upload a picture then copy a hot link to this thread.

Sorry for your loss. You can also buy a Gold membership and be able to upload photos without using Imgur or another site. I'm not sure if a basic membership is good enough but a Gold also allows you to a sell stuff.

Sorry for your loss
As mentioned you will have to use a photo sharing site to post the pictures
Under your membership level you will not be allowed to ask about price, but can find out about the hatchet
If you look in the list of forums, there is one dedicated to axes, hatchets, tomahawks and such. They will have the most knowledge on the subject and may be able to help with a good description.

The Gold membership is worth the $30 a year, if you want to post photos. It also supports this site, which in turn is supporting you.

Sorry for your loss, but I think you will enjoy that hatchet more than the jackals will the TV and such.

Post a pic when you can and use those items when you can. They will bring you back.

Condolences. But really, use that hatchet and use the stone your grandpa used to hone it, and you will feel a bond with him everytime you do some hatchet task.

If you do a google search Norlund, Yesteryearstools or just norlund hatchet (and yesteryearstools is the supplier of info) you should get what you are looking for.

also if you do a search in the axe, tomahawk and hatchet forum for Norlund, there are many threads referencing it
