Just noticed this little gem on ebay .....

It's a Gerber Chameleon, neither Gerber nor this knife have anything whatsoever to do with Schrade. ;)

It's a tactic used by sellers to get thier auction to come up even when someone does a search for another maker.

Some of the fopahs and tactics are hilarious. I like the knives with durlin handles, and the Uncle Harry knives!

There is...SCHRADE....IMPERIAL....WALDEN/SCHRADE...etc...etc.. and not necessarily in that order..now...there is C..H..I..R..A..D..E..whether we like it or not and everything else is a blade with a handle. Here lately I've been giving this a lot of thuoght.Whether we do like it or not the CHIRADE is the next chapter in the SCHRADE legacy. I'm not real sure I'll be around to see it ( I feel lucky to have made it this long) but the First Run ,Taylors will some day be a prize for someone.I'm sure there are Schrade purist who don't want to hear this .It dosen't really roll off my tongue ,but here I am saying it.I've came to the conclusion that like it or not this is the next chapter in Schrade's long and glorious story. Who knows maybe I'll live long enough to see a Schrade plant built here again and a tang stamp SCHRADE USA.How many guys over the hill...I mean over 50 when they where 20 would have thought they would see Toyota USA. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed.Seems to me that maybe it's the fact that Taylor chose China and so many of our jobs (not to even mention the trade deficit) are now in China. When Walden changed to Imperial I'll bet there where those( dyed in blue ) individuals who thought "there goes the neighborhood ".And now it's dyed RED WHITE AND BLUE....dosen't make it any easier or, anything short of unpatriotic, back stabbin ,low life,no good for nothing, imperialistic (not like Imperial) piece of $#%^%$#@!!! company .That acquired the patten's ,brands, rights to Schrade it's name and it's history, then moved it to China. On the other hand I'm glad that the company who acquired the Schrade Brands is still going to produce knives. And that this part of our storied past still has a flicker of hope that rekindlled some day maybe.Hey guys thanks for letting me rant a while ,I feel better ,only slightly but better. And comming from a guy who has very few USA SCHRADES I really need to feel better.Guees I'd better go buy another knife with a USA tang stamp, maybe that will help. Then again maybe I'd better buy a set like Cool Deal Phil got...... anyone know where there is one of those........Happy Easter to All ...Michael

This post was edited to meet the ban on any mention of any thing for sale
(other member not Wj) outside of designated areas of bladeforum.com.
Any possible infraction of any rules was unintentinal and poster is aware in most states(and forums) ignorance is not an excuse.
Any slight to any forum member's level of class, amount of due respect, or shortness of stature is of their own making, not mine. Now as I gracefully(don't trip) exit I would like to quote those famous American Orators of the 80s Bartle & James: "Thank you for your support"

The reason you don't see it mentioned here is that it is against the rules of the forum to sell anywhere except in the exchange or in the Knife Maker's sale area. Del is way too classy to try and sneak in a hint that he has something for sale on ebay. But, now that you mention it, there are several members that sell on ebay, (I don't sell, only buy). I have personally bought from Del, LT, Phil (textoothpk), Ron (relodr36), and found them to be the best sellers on ebay. They are great to do business with, but don't expect to see them mentioning their sales here on the forum.

I have also traded knives and things with members of the forum. I have never had a bad deal from any forum member. I am constantly impressed with the caliber of the members of this forum.....with rare exceptions.

Well Now. Seems one has to be pretty careful how one words things in here.
By time I fix grammaticals and do my own spail ck, I have to hit send reply before the time meter logs me out and reply is lost! I have discovered if it is taking too long to type a response I can hit enter before I get logged out, then addon rest of post using edit. A stroke in 03 seems to have residual effect on my short term memory and decision making circuits. But I'm still ahead of a lot of folks that have been thru similar circumstances so I'm not complaing.

From your reply sounds like you thought I was wondering why Delander didn't have his item in HERE the Schrade collectors forum. I apologize for not being as specific as possible, my intent was HERE as in the entire bladeforum.com.
Lord knows I'm the last person(well ok tenth from the last) to want to break any organization's RULES. History has taught us rule-breaking is the first warning sign of pending chaos and turmoil. Can't have that.

Thanks for reminding me of where knives can be found for sale here at Blade forum. I have had several satisfying and I hope mutually beneficial transactions with Txtoofpik Mr. Phil. In fact he is the one that so kindly invited me to join this merry band of fellow knife enthusiast. He just forgot to send me a copy of the RULE book.
SO I have from time to time posted a subject in the wrong place. Instead of a gentle explanation I seem to draw the rath of the head moderator. I didn't see any sign out front, but leads me to ask a question. Is this a Catholic knife forum?? That possibility just STRUCk me, sorry if I'm wrong (again)
Now I have the feeling this probably isn't the right section for asking Questions. But due to time restraints I hope this infraction will be overlooked this once.

Don't take it so hard Wosey! We used to kind of police ourselves around here, as there was average activity, and no real moderator at this forum for a while now.

Trust me, we do not always stick to schrade discussions. I have the socks to prove it. ;)

Since the demise of schrade, our traffic has picked up quite a bit. That's great, but it also draws more eyes this way. "They" are watching.

I guess we take it for granted that everyone that posts at BF.C knows the rules. That may be why we seem to come on harsh to somebody who "breaks" the rules. Heck, I got yelled at once for posting too many pics that were too large on another sub-forum.

There are far worse people here than us 'non-conformists'

Sit back and have a margeurita! :p

Wosey,
I hope you didn't think I was coming down on you, that was not at all my intent.
