Just one of the reasons why it's worth supporting BFC with a paid membership.

Aside from the countless hours and infinite knowledge gained from this site.

Not to mention the fantastic people I've met, (here and at shows), add to that the endless humor, oh yeah there are the Pirates at the Cove with it's own set of rules.

One of the greatest things is the knife contests held by the various characters and local personalities of the site, most of 'em require at least a paying membership, (we all want to support the forums and keep a great thing goin')

Anyway my point was, by bein' a paid member I was afforded the opportunity to enter a contest in the Cove and I won this Gorgeous Maserin Stainless Damascus Spirit, (thanks again Totaly Judy and rosconey2)

Here's the knife and remember folks,"Ya gotta be in it to win it."

If only I had the cash in my Paypal I would get the gold membership. :( congradulations on the win.

I don't have PayPal, and I subscribed. You can use a CC. And Congratulations on winning!!!

Blade Forums is the ultimate knife source/site for me, but I do love my knife mags and catalogs and etc. ... again .., if its about knives its all good!!

WOOK

Blade forums is definitely better bang for the buck than any knife magazines at this time. BF is full of great knife pics, advice, and any information pertaining to knives and related stuff. On BF knife knuts can communicate with one another from all over the planet.---Now try to do that with a knife magazine.

To be fair though, the magazines can do one thing BF cannot do. You cannot roll up BF and swat flies with it.:D

OK, OK, the guilt trip worked. Just gave the forum some $$. Please note the 'gold' by my name (as of 5 minutes ago).

This forum has me on a very steep learning curve. There is a TREMENDOUS amount of knowledge here....and some pretty darn cool knife geeks.

I did not feel it fair to continue gleening so much info without giving something back to ensure this site is here in the future and continues to grow.

I was surprised at how cheap membership is!

thx

Gotta quick question....I noticed my membership payment went to One Stop Knife Shop.
Why?
Who actually owns/manages this forum?

Thanks for the info. Looks like 1SKS will go to the tip-top of my favorites list (never hurts to suck up , huh?)

It never hurts. :) They're a good knife dealer in their own right, which shouldn't come as a surprise.

well if the truth be told-i had to fight judy to use that knife, she had a used spork she sharpened the handle on in a attempt to make her own multitool-she was dead set on giving it away-but i just couldnt do it so after a bit of arm twisting she agreed that the maserin was a little better than the tj multitool
