Well I am new to this forum and just wanted to jump in and say hey from Mississippi. I own some Buck knives and love them. I own a 119, 12pt Omni hunter folder, and one or two more but I have never owned a Buck 110. I didnt know you could buy one so cheap. I got mine for 24.00 shipping and all. Anyway, its on its way to me and I cant hardly wait. I have heard nothing but good things about the 110 so Im gonna give it a go. It will be my EDC knife, so wish me luck guys and its nice to meet you all. I guess I need to get my head down from this Hurricane on its way huh?

Welcome back then. I hope we don't have to read a "survival" story from you soon after this hurricane. Keep your head down and your powder dry Wildone:p

Welcome to the Buck forum!!

Go ahead now and find your local chapter of Buck Anon. :o These things are addicting.

Right now it looks like this storm will come west of you. The guys in LA and Deep East Texas better be stocking up some generator gas and bilge pumps...

Good luck All,,,

So far we have had one Tornado Warning after another. It seems Tornadoes are the Biggest threat to us here.

I have also just ordered my first Buck 110 from the custom shop, it's going to be an edc. Already thinking about the next one in a different steel.

Thanks, I was checking out all of the Buck threads and was not aware that there was a Buck custom shop. I really liked the idea that you could "build" a knife like that at such a reasonable cost. I ordered a nickle/orange wood/Mirror finish blade, that I will post pics when it gets here. I know Buck says it will take 4-5 weeks for completion of the knife and was wondering if that was really how long it took for some of you guys.Though I own many quality knives from all different places of manufacture, I like to spend my money on domestic products when I can... Go U.S.A!

Well I got it and I love it but i do have some things that im not fond of about it. The knife itself is beautiful, Its everything I was hoping for in looks and sharpness. Its heavy thats for sure but that doesnt bother me. I love the sheath, its good ol american leather. The one thing that bothers me though is it has some side to side blade wiggle when its open. Its not much at all but it does have some. I hate to say it but thats a pet peeve of mine. Its problably nothing to worry about but I know it will bother me so ill just put it in my box. Should it have wiggle from side to side? Should I not worry about it or should I send it back to have it tightend up?

I don't accept side to side wiggle. If you can exchange it, that may be a quicker option. Otherwise, Buck service will fix you up.
