Not five knives but a RC 5. Green with the tan sheath. Its so nice to check after you placed your order and see the number in stock drop one!
Now the hard part........................................

Welcome to our little pack.

Your gonna love that RC-5, it's a beast.

I bet I know where you ordered from, with the number dropping and all.

Yeah, he gave me a raft of sh#t for gushing about the Halo I just picked up. It's seven and a half and more combat based. I figured the RC 5 is more practical. I am real curious to see how the RC 5 stacks up against my Bravo 1? I am going to put both of them outside and whoever scratches at the door first gets a treat the loser has to sleep under the house!

I have both of the Bravo-1 and Fallkniven F1 and just received the RC-5. I haven't used the RC-5 yet, but its in an entirely different league than either of the two. The Bravo-1 and F1 are somewhat similar to me although the blade length on the Bravo-1 is a bit longer. I think the F1 and Bravo-1 will be better for finer work than the RC-5, but the RC-5 is just an unbreakable, monster of a knife. Something you can hack a tree down with, pry open stuff and generally count on to survive.

All three of these knives are excellent.

I'm glad the RC 5 is different. I also have the F1 so I know what you mean about it being similar to the Bravo. Can't wait to test her out.

Great choice! The RC-5 is a whale-of-a-cutter. Please give us a report after you have used it.

Its funny to hear the Bravo as refered to as a blade fot fine tasks. I guess perspectve and comparison make all the difference.

Lets hear it for the big RC 5. Do you think it can out chop a RC 6 or are the geometry and extra length better for chopping?

I have both the RC5 and the RC6. There is not much difference in the chopping performance of the two. This is probably due to both the slower speed and different geoametry of the RC5 and the greater speed, and thinner geometry but reduced mass of the RC6.

Both baton and work very well. The edges on both are sharp and surprisingly thin and efficient for production knives.

For chopping I generaly carry my H.I. M-43 kukri. Or upon occasion a hatchet or axe. Though my preference is the kukri.

The RC5 will perform most any survival and even most buscraft duties well. With the use of a baton and wedges splitting wood will be no problem. It will chop! Just not all that efficiently.

The RC-5 being a pound I would think it should outchop the RC 6 just a little. Albeit, it will not be a great chopper at all, I just think it would out do it a little because of more momentum with the swing. I could be wrong, but I will find out once mine gets here sometime this week..

Ha yeah. Its all perspective. Look at the blades side by side. I'll tell you if it can open oysters when I fly into Tangier Island and Crisfield this Spring. :D

Where? Crisfield is about 45 minutes from me. Thats a small town to goto from all the way out west. You must really like oysters. You might even like 'em as much as me.:)

I used to live in PA and would fly down to the Eastern Shore a lot. Love the crabs and oysters. I get back maybe once a year.
