so did i do good?..............

wanted a good carry knife that didnt break the bank if i lost it,
mebbe use it for field dressing deer in a pinch......

mebbe for defence if needed sometime.

what ya all think?
 
IMO it's a great little knife, wonderful value. In fact after carrying one for the past several months, I bought two more about a month ago.
 
I love mine. I bought a Tec-Loc clip and attached it to the sheth for belt wear. Mine came very sharp. I also bought a beaded chain for neck wear. This knife is a very good value. I still need to put it through it's passes, but I have so many knives. I usually carry my Buck Big Sky hunting, but have made a mental note to carry the Becker the rest of the season. I already have two deer in the freezer so I have to be picky about what I shoot. If I can line up a needy family, I'll see how it performs on dressing and skinning game.

Mine has been a great knife. I wrapped the handle in paracord for better grip and I love it. The sheath on mine is very tight, but I haven't tried to fix it in any serious way yet, so it can't be too bad... I used mine a couple of weeks ago to field dress a few ducks after a pretty good day of hunting. It worked like a charm. It goes with me everywhere in the woods or field. :thumbup:

I am thinking about getting a Becker Necker myself, where can you find the Tec-Loc clips? How much are they?
 
My edc belt is a gun belt from Dillons catalog, basically a double thickness leather belt. Will the teklok work on it?

Great little blade. Love mine to bits. Im not crazy about the bottle-opener "thingy" at the butt-end but hey, I can live with it. One of these days Im gonna look at putting handle scales or a decent cord-wrap (strider style) on it.
The tec-loc clip is a great idea, thanks for the inspiration.
 
I can't remember where I bought the clip, but Blade-Tech has it. It is the Tek-Lok Klip. The other Tek-Loks were too bulky IMO for this little knife. I had to buy longer screws and use the spacers provided for a good fit. I carry my at a cant. It is the only way to attach to the pre-drilled holes, I have seen where others have drilled holes to get vertical attachment.

I have tried making scales and will probably try again. I'm currently using a wrap similiar to Skunkwerx.

Great choice on the Becker Necker , I have one on a Mercop harness , cord wrapped , Very sharp and tuff as hell . :D
 
I picked mine for toughness for its size. I thinned the edge profile to make it an extreme cutter. I also wrapped the handle with a long two-tone boot lace. You probably want to wrap the handle if you use the knife heavily.
 
You will have to reprofile the edge, it is waaayyy to obtuse, I got mine down to a useable edge and put on an oak handle with brass pins, I love it.
 
:thumbup: You did well. It's a neck/pocket FB with a practical-shaped blade.

I thinned the edge on mine too. Made it a great little slicer.

I also wrapped the handle -- really improves the grip without making it too thick.
 
I almost got a necker myself but opted for the RAT3 instead. Just means I will be getting a necker for my birthday... if I can wait that long.

After googling it, I think I want one too (tis the season), good buy.
 
Would it be possible for those who have modified their "Neckers" to post pictures of the modifications. I want to add a Tek-lok to my original sheath, if possible. I've had mine for a few months now, and it keeps growing on me, great little knife for the $$$. Thanks in advance, looking forward to new ideas.
