I'm big into Himalayan Imports Kukris but been wanting a Becker so I took advantage of the great deal Ka-Bar is offering and grabbed a BK4 LE.

Looking forward to chopping up some wood with it...

Good one to start with, not one for dipping your toes in the water eh Dirtbiker. I like your style. Let me know how you think it compares to your HIs. Also, pics please.

Hey, I'm in the same boat! I love my kukri and would much rather have that along on a camping trip than a hatchet, but couldn't say no to the bk4.

You new Becker buyers are spoiled! All these limited editions and first production runs. Congrats on the 4, remember to pay your due of photos upon arrival.

Welcome Dirtbiker.

Looking forward to hearing your impression of the BK4 with your HI experience.

I cant wait for my Machax to show up but I have never held anything like a Kukri. Want to see how it compares to a straight machette or my BK 9.

the Machax was my first back in the early 80s... look where it got me? :)

Congrats, thats for sure a whopper of a Becker to start out with!

If they have any left I may get one next week. Got some unplanned for monies coming so why the heck not ;)

True. I am going to hold off on the BK16 until the lower priced full-grinds come out though. I'm not into stripping and patinas yet.

LOL what you want man I got the best...Da Best!

I should probably clarify I actually have nothing for sale. Was just going to try to point Dirtbiker in the right direction.

I do have some nice Kabar Micarta waiting for my Machax.

Zytel smugglers and cocobolo peddlers. What's this world coming to?

Exactly. "Whatchu need man? I got that genuine maple burl, some bocote, ironwood... 30 buck...2 for 50.

I know you were steering him the right direction Mauser, sorry, boredom in class creates an interesting mindset.

Lemme know if you want to change that. I'm just down the road from you, and I've got a few HI's here and there. Still gotta get my 18" Machax clone HT'ed. They're different, for sure.

Welcome to the Becker subforum, dirtbiker. We got a good group of folks in here.

Yep, I don't get into the woods often enough. So if you'd like to take one for a whirl on a trip some time, feel free. They get lonely after a while.

Yes, Micarta or G10

Have you seen Kabars micarta? I am not a big micarta fan but theses are very nice. Here is an old pic of mine that shows them. Best place to get them is probably Tomars kabars.
