This will be my first tactical pen, and I liked the design of this one. I wanted either a clicky or twist open pen (no cap) because I don't want to have to take a cap on and off. I thought about the surefire clicky pens but they were just too expensive. Picked this one up for around $40.

Have been using mine for 2 weeks now as my work pen. I havent been able to stop playing with it!.
It has one major flaw though...it uses a strange short refill that is apparently only made by boker, and it isn't very good. Mine would skip and stop writing altogether. The closest refill size I found is a Lamy 22, which can be found easily on ebay. Problem is it's too long. I drilled my pen out to accept it(major pain) then realized you can just file down the Lamy to fit:foot: another bonus to this is you can choose how much you want the tip to stick out when extended. I thought the stock refill was a little too short. Im ordering a second in grey as we speak, love it!

There is going to be a version II of these. That allows a more "normal" refill and a different oring for the front.

I'm not a fan of the way they integrated the clip, I think it makes the pen look strange. Good idea though.

How well does this pen ride when clipped in a jeans pocket? I carry mine that way at work because our uniforms don't have shirt pockets and I dislike clipping it inside the button flap near the collar.

Have fun trying to take it on a flight or into a secure government building. Looks like something that should fire a projectile.

I don't know yet, I'll have it later this week.

Seeing as how I rarely fly anywhere, and I don't go into many government buildings, I'm not going to let that govern my life.

It rides very well in jeans. The clip actually suits that kind of carry better than a shirt pocket. I bent mine down a bit for more hold.

I just received mine today. Cool concept, but that cartridge refill is half the size of any other refill so it will force you to order from Boker or a supplier. Other than that, its a really neat pen design. I hate pens that have a cap, always need to find a place to put it.

Notice my comment above, the lamy 22 cartridge fits with a little filing and is much better:) You also need to swipe a longer spring from another pen as the end of the Lamy is longer. First basic plastic pen I found lying around had a perfect one.

A version II? Do you happen to know anything about it, like when it may come out or where to find info on it?

Thanks!

I wasn't super into it at first either, but it's definitely unique. I found a better picture of it on another forum

Thank you for taking my pictures, I am the Designer of the Pen and the owner of the Picture copyright.;)

It makes me very happy that the Pen pleases you. Indeed there is in the meantime a second version. The new version can take up the refill "Lami M22" instead the original refill also.

My CID = Clip-integrated-Design has accurately the mass, to give you at your Jeanspocket the correct pull-resist. (Sorry about my bad English)

Before Boker did the serial version, I made only 20 of them from Titanium with my friend Thomas B. My vision is a serial version made of Titanium. One day it will become true, I´m sure. Thank you all.

Rainer, I love the pen! Here it is after much use and has been riding in my back pocket everyday.

Thank you Scott for the nice picture and for using the Pen. Even HIII coating will be damaged with the time. On the other Hand I love Gear that looks used. One day there will be a CID cal .45 Titanium again, for sure:triumphant:

At my job I have to crawl around on concrete so I'd say its held up relatively well. Love the pen! Awesome work
