Yes, I finally did it. I've looked at these online for years and bought one. I'm pleased to say it serves ABSOLUTELY no useful purpose. That's why I can't wait till it gets here. There is, however, a junk pile near-by...
After all is said and done, you don't have to EXPLAIN a toy. I think everybody here can relate. By the way, I'm not going to install the lancets. I think they make it easier to break by acting as a lever during a strike.

I did watch a bunch of You Tube videos about the Zombie Invasion. The Warhammer came in as an all-time favorite weapon. I think it would be the best. So see, it DOES searve a purpose. YES, yes, yes, that's why I had to have one - paractical huh?

How many of you guys have one???

Oh come on, all those things have a totally useful purpose... You can kill elephants with them if everyone dies and you're the last person on Earth. See how useful? (Yes, there's a spear leaning up in my corner also, along with SEVERAL axes, tomahawks, swords, Seaxs.....) You never can tell.

This thread made me crack up hard. Finally some jovial and unabashed honesty about some of the things we buy!

No doubt you forgot if you get the hankering for some marauding and pillaging we are good to go my friend.

Not gonna lie... every year we go to the Ren Faire, and every year I go handle the warhammers and try to think of a way to justify buying one.

Good for you man!

I picked up one from Windlass years ago -

I used to practice escrima drills with it - quite a workout.

Awesome!

I have found an entertaining way to feed my warhammer fun.

Being the youth Pastor at my church I was able, with much glee from my guys, to start an annual guys LARP night. We create our own weapons and play CTF with larp style battle rules. It is a blast.

My first created weapon was the now legendary (among the youth) war hammer "Storm"

well you got one right in time. Pumpkins will be on sale by next weekend. Time to get your splatter on!

It's one of the toys I don't own for pumpkin destruction parties.

Excellent. We now have a third member of the horde.

I have a CS Warhammer too. I like to smite stuff with it. Which makes it useful for me because I love smiting.

It is a competition hawk and I have to say its one of my favorites for a light weight hawk it does it all and it's easy to carry I've had no issues with it at all cut some firewood thrown it a lot easy to sharpen. It's one I won't ever trade or sell.

War hammer? That's kids' stuff. You need to own a battle-ready flail to really claim a ridiculous toy purchase.

Ok but there's never been anyone rapping about Flail Time.

:)

But there's plenty of people flailing about ...

Didn't CS also market a mace at one time with the war hammer? I seem to recall a CS wooden shaft with a blunt metal end that had raised ridges on it a few years back. I know that Lynn T. has always been interested in exotic weaponry.

Flails are the comedians of weapons a buddy of mine has a replica next to his bar in his basement never fails to amuse. Some wanna be beserker has more Mead than they can handle and before you know it there's blood bruises and broken stuff. Flails are like boomerangs they come back.

Half the stuff I buy is useless. For example; I just bought a x-bow from a gun show. I don't hunt, never had a crossbow before, and I know very little about archery. I just bought one because the inner child in me wanted a toy

I have a battle axe with half moon blades (18 inch?) A pole axe with a 6" shaft. Viking sword, shield, spike hawk..............

War hammer seems pretty reasonable. ......
