Just ordered a Maxped Vulture II

Soooooo I have a few concerns having not tried it on, and Im not sure how it will feel packed up. The water reservoir being right against your back, and the size of the bag with no frame. Ive heard good things and the price isnt to bad, figured Ill return it if need be but I hope Ill love it. Anyone have a Vulture II or Maxpedition experience?
 
I have a few maxpedition packs and they are excellent, never tried the Vulture II but I'm sure the quality is good....
 
Agree with Flexxx, Max does'nt make any junk. I've worn the Vulture II empty and it was very comfy, just can't speak to what it will feel like loaded out. Overall, though, I can't believe you will have any issues with it. The shoulder straps and waist belt are amply padded. I use both the Falcon II and Pygmy Falcon II, as well as a newly acquired Proteus for a small EDC bag. All great bags to be sure!:thumbup:
 
HardTripper, I've got two of their Falcon-II's, Last Resort & Agressor attache's, a Mongo Versipack, Fatboy, & a Thermite my wife uses. I have no complaints at all with any of these bags. Good luck with yours, happy trail hunting.

I'm going to be pulling the trigger on a Falcon II within about a month. Why do you have two?
 
I have the Malaga Gearslinger, bottle holder, and 2 different sizes of the folding bags. Pretty good stitching. One of the molle straps/ loops on the main sling was mis stitched and eventually came off, but I didn't use it so I didn't mind. The rest of the molle webbing is solid, I reconfigure the pack and switch out stuff regularly, and the molle holds up to the constant weaving of malice clips.
 
Well, two amazon gift cards, some rewards points from my AMEX and a knife just sold forced me to order my Falcon II with no reservations. I blame Flexxx completely.
 
I have a CONDOR II, the next size down. I love it. I think you'll like the Vulture II.
 
Leave me know how you like it. I want a vulture II but it seems so big, but the Condor II seems too small. Im torn between the two.

I know what you mean buddy. I started off scoping out the falcon but when I realized my tent poles couldn't fit inside and that the vulture was double the size for the same price, I changed camps. I have a huge pack and a small pack, the vulture will serve as my middle ground. I find the condor much nicer but id end up stuffing it so full my water would dig in my back I think.
 
When you get the vulture I would love to see some pics and your thoughts....
