I'm super excited! Just ordered an Andre De Vilier Midtech tactical Butcher! I had to tell someone and quite frankly that's you guys because no one else I know would know what I was talking about or care lol. As soon as I have it in hand I will post my thoughts.

It was a total impulse buy and because of that you may see a few older toys appear in the exchange lol.

Ok not sure why tapatalk spammed the first image. But this thing is built like an absolute tank. The cutting edge is a little over 3.5" but it feels larger. It flips quite well. It doesn't shoot out like a shirogorov but you can both lightswitch and pushbutton it and it comes out firmly. Detent is perfect. The design of the flipper is very good. No hotspots but at the same time plenty grippy to get a positive flip every time. The fit and finish are literally some of the best I've ever seen on any knife. It came hair popping sharp. The ergonomics are excellent in both forward and reverse grip. While it looks like it might not pierce well I can tell you that is 100% not the case. This knife would make one hell of a cqb blade. It was $480. This knife easily outshines other knives in this price range. The finish of the blade is exceptional. It's a mix of satin grinds, hand rubbed flats, and mirror polished fuller. It really stands out as something special and you know instantly this isn't some knife I picked up at the local store. I've been wanting a warncliff tactical for a while. I was planning on the yohimbo 2. Then I saw these in a post on this site and was like yup I'll take it lol. Super glad I did. The only thing I'm not 100% happy with is the color of the anodizing. I was hoping for a deeper purple color but it is what it is, and it's unique. So I'm okay with it. To anyone questioning if they ought to pull the trigger on one of these bad boys I say do it! You won't regret it.

Lol yeah I know everyone got a little pissy with the Uber knives guy for his language. But as a person who isn't opposed to peppering my speech with the occasional four lettered expletive I didn't really mind his post. Obviously he was just trying to be funny. To answer your question I did in fact buy it from Uber knives. It was that thread that got me to notice the knives in the first place. I have nothing bad to say about the service from them either. In fact quite the opposite. They shipped within a few hours of my order, I received tracking info, then I got the knife two days later. Really nothing to complain about. I have to admit that this was a pretty spur of the moment decision to buy one. But I did spend a few hours on youtube and the net researching before I ordered. Regardless of how you feel about Uber knives or that post they did give me good fast service so no complaints here.

I actually can imagine how some people may not like the looks of these knives. But personally I think they're beautiful and a steal for the price. I've owned, held, used, and passed over a whole lot of high end knives in my aproximately 25 years of knife collecting and these knives are very well done. What I got is considered a mid tech and it's as nice if not nicer then a lot of full customs out there. The fit and finish is just exceptional. Every little corner is rounded perfectly. He took the time to go inside the holes and polish the inside walls. A lot of work went into this thing. Even the color of the anodizing is beginning to really grow on me. It's also hands down the sharpest knife I've ever recieved. Anyway if you like the designs I'd say get one. If Uber knives rubbed you the wrong way try a different dealer or contact andre directly on facebook. One way or another I think we'll be seeing a lot more of this guy's work. I will probably also pick up a custom pathfinder from him sometime soon.

Congrats! You definitely now own a really great knife. It's very different and it works. I didn't like the look of the knife at first and thought I would never own one, but it chipped away at my resistance until I took the plunge and bought one directly from André. I was blown away when I handled it for the first time. Smooth as butter. Incredibly well made. My camera loves it too ... so many interesting features that can be captured in many different ways. It is one of those knives where you immediately know you need two of ... one for EDC and the other for the collection.

Yeah I can see going that route but I'm a user first and formost. So it's already seen carry and some use. It I was to get one to not use it would be a full on decked out custom, and truth be told I'd still probably use it :p

It's kinda crazy how nice these are for the money. I see his prices rising in the future. Or at the very least when people start wanting them and they become difficult to find I could see the secondary market blowing up on these

Glad to see this thread! I ordered the same knife with anodized green handles. It's in the mail for me! 😁 I actually got it for $450 at KnifeCenter.

My first post, I've been lurking for a while. . I picked up the same knife from uberknives. At least it looks the same, mine is purple. I also got a winkler belt knife and xm-18 all for 20% off. If I had more money I would've gotten more while he had the sale. I love the tac-butcher, it is a looker and well made, it's and incredible knife. I think I'll get a mini butcher when I can, I have small hands and I think that would be a great fit. Congrats on your new knife!
