After two cheap torx sets, many stripped screws and stripped torx drivers. I finally had enough and bought what I've heard is one of the best. It wasn't cheap but I've already spent the same amount on cheap crap.

Can't wait for these guys to get here, so that I can try them out.:D

Wiha have probably the nicest machined torx bits I've come across. If you end up liking the ones you ordered maybe also check out the Boker Torx Toolkit made by Wiha. It has all the sizes you need for most pocket knives in a small portable package. I love mine :D

You'll love them - they have tighter tolerances and are much harder than the big-box store models. You'll be able to pass them on to your Grandkids!

Wiha rocks, except there is one problem. They are too precision machined. Most screws are not in the same league as wiha's screw drivers so you may find having a 2nd cheaper torx drive to be a good idea to get a better fit.

Everything else is true. They wear very very little compared to other drives, and for high quality screws the mating is darn near perfect.

I think it's pretty slick advertizing for Boker to mention Wiha as in "Wiha SoftFinish grip for comfortable slip-free performance." Notice no mention that the torx kit was manufactured by Wiha (Wiha torx is German manufactured). Only that it has a Wiha SoftFinish grip. It's all advertizing technique...buttons, buttons, buttons. Direct the brain to the conclusion you want without overtly lying. Politicians do it on a regular basis.
I may pick one of these Boker kits up; handy and inexpensive. I have a Husky but looking for a second set.

This is a Sears description of the same tool: http://www.sears.com/boker-toolkit-torx-head-driver/p-SPM2681430601
"Features: Contains Torx bits 4/5/6/7/8/10/15. Measures roughly 3" long. Wiha SoftFinish grip for comfortable slip-free performance. Country of origin: China."

That's Wiha made FYI.
Bits say Wiha, also has a big Wiha logo. Pay attention.

You are quoting a link to Sears in their "marketplace". I am sure I can fish out a link of a well known USA made knife that says "Country of Origin: China"

I am trying to pay attention. If you have the tool in your hand and indicated somewhere, somehow on the tool bits, "Wiha," then I apologize for not paying attention, since I don’t have first-hand knowledge of having the tool in hand. I did download Wiha PDF file with all their tools and didn't find the Boker. Boker may have struck a deal with Wiha to use their handle and logo, if that's what you're suggesting...I don't know. I did get the 1-800 phone number of Wiha and will call them on Monday to see what’s up with the Boker/Wiha.

If I were merchandizing a tool made by Wiha, I would make sure my sales material would point to that well know quality name, but Boker hasn’t done that. I see the handle and the logo but that’s not telling me about the bits. Why would Sears blunder and mistakenly insert "China" into their disclosure when that could hinder sales? Maybe the included sales literature in the Boker box says something like “Boker made by Wiha, product of Germany” end of story.

I like reading the forums. An insatiable amount of information is available here that we can use for our hobby, albeit not all is accurate and opinions abound. Just look at opinions on steels, sharpening methods, best sharpeners, the list goes on. I am open to my mind being changed about information I thought to be accurate and later other information arose disputing what I thought I knew. If I was contemplating purchasing an item I thought was one thing but really wasn't, I'd want to be made aware so that at least I could do some further research into my possible purchase. And Luis, I'm glad you're paying attention. We need to test each other. You may be right in your assessment of this Boker torx tool. I did find another site saying tool was made in Germany. Btw, did you catch where I said I may pick a set up? If you're right, I'm excited for a great buy. Even if you’re not, I’ll probably still get it.

Monday morning: I called Wiha hoping to get a conclusive answer…I didn’t. I was put on hold while the representative I was speaking with sought to find an answer to my question of “Did Wiha make this entire tool for Boker, or just the handle?” The final answer I got was “I don’t know. Maybe Germany made them for Boker.”

So Luis, if you want to say that I’m not paying attention…I don’t care. I’ve wasted way too much time really trying to find information for my own curiosity figuring someone may profit from it. Bottom line…I’m going to buy this Boker tool. Seems like it’s of good quality. And since I can find no proof that this isn’t a Boker/Wiha manufacturing project, I will accept the inconclusive possibility that it is a Wiha collaboration.

I own the Wiha version of that Boker tool. It is filled with screwdriver bits, not torx bits.
It is branded "Wiha soft finish" on one side, & is blank on the other side, where "Boker" would be.
Otherwise it seems identical.
It is a very good tool.

Nowhere, on any bit or body part, does it offer a country of origin.

I suspect the Boker tool is the same thing, with different bits & an extra brand.
All my bits are branded Wiha, & the pics in the above link show a "Wi..." brand on the torx bit.
I think the whole thing is made by Wiha. Could bee made anywhere, though.

After reading many testimonies here on BF, I took the plunge about a year ago and have found that my Wiha set is absolutely outstanding. I wish I'd known about Wiha years ago.
