Hey everyone!

I just ordered a SOCFK from Extreme Outfitters this week but it looks like it will be a couple of months til I get one. I was wondering if anyone would like to share their opinion on the knife and maybe share pics if you have them :)

This will be my 5th Emerson I've owned.
Emerson/Kershaw Auto
CQC-13
Mini Commander
Raven (2001) w/ Kydron handles

Thanks,
Mark

I got a tanto plain. It's probably the best valued Emerson out there. So Extreme outfitter is out of them I take it?

The handle is the famous specwar handle, It's built for grip. I do wish the blade had a swedge, but then it would look identical to older specwar knives.

Yep, Extreme Outfitters called about 10mins after I placed the order and said they are out of the regular SOCFK right now but expect more in soon (ballparked at a couple months). They did say that they have the Super SOCFKs in stock, but they were a little too much $.
I am hoping that the knife I get will have the new textured G-10.
I was thinking about the CQC 7 but the Ergos on the SOCFK look great and the swedge was not a deal breaker for me.

Just got one today. Mine is the SOFCK-A, a 2005 model. This is my first Emerson and I really like it. Seems solid and light. Locks up great and has very minimal blade play. The handles are great for a stabbing/slicing grip. No much on a chisel grind, but its nice to have something different. This is my 3rd folder in 2 weeks, and I think it'll stay in my pocket for a bit.

They have been out of stock since Febuary. I would imagine they will get them soon. Good purchase though, I really want one.

Yea, I am really looking forward to its arrival. I think it is basically a CQC-7 with better ergos in the handle... and at a better $
