After all the praise on the forums, I just ordered a ZT 302 from New Graham at $236. I hope to receive it next week. With it's size, I don't know if it will become my EDC, but I will use it a lot. I'll let you know how it does.

Good choice. I'm currently hunting for one of the special editions with the black or satin blade that TAD offered. I want one really badly.

I have one and it's one stout knife! Too heavy for EDC IMO though--believe me, I tried and it pulls at my slacks! (I use fixed blades when in jeans or casual wear.) Mine now rides on my chest harness for weekend warrior fun.

If they would only make one without the recurve blade I would be all over one....

BIG, stout, heavy but smooth. It feels good in the hand. I like the index finger protusion for opening. Did I say smooth.

Buy a pair of suspenders or tighten your belt - it is one BIG hunk of steel.

I got my ZT0302 a couple of months ago and I EDC it around the house/yard and when taking a walk. It came very sharp out of the box, fit and finish are flawless, opens smooth as silk, and locks up tight with a satisfying 'click'. I haven't put it to hard use but I have no doubt the knife is tougher than any use I will have for it. I'm 100% satisfied with it in every way, and I think it was money well spent. Congratulations on your decision to buy one - you won't be sorry.

One thing I have found is that it is not a one-hand closer - at least for me it isn't. I use two hands to disengage the lock and fold up that massive blade.

I have had one going on a year, its a beast, I have EDC since ive had it, I wear wranglers or 511 pants and it rides great for me. Ive cut rope, 550 cord, chopped 1-2 inch branches with it, ive used it for skinning game. I haven't found a folder that can replace it, also Kershaw's heat treat on s30v is outstanding, the blade is still very very sharp.

I want one of those REALLY badly...Well, actually, a 301. One of those is at the top of my list for when I get my Income Tax Refund...Or win the Lottery...Or make a trade for one...Whichever comes first.:D.

The ZT-301 is my EDC folder and I will never leave my apartment without. When I first got it I was thinking of making it more of a display knife since the craftsmanship and the look of the knife are truely unique, I've seen a lot of folders seeing as a store in Vancouver carries probly the largest selection of folders than any other store here. My ZT-301 (Green G10) now sits snuggly in my pocket everywhere I go, the sound it makes when opening turns heads, the stripped blade stops and beckons to be envied, and the size makes people think twice about wanting to try anything. Can't go wrong with this knife.

If a knife can be a machine then this is it. Even at 8.6 oz, it's not bad to carry in jeans. The cluck reminds me of my S&W 1911 Gunsite although it's a double clundk, NICE!:thumbup:
