Got an ESEE 4 on the way to me as we speak. This is my first foray into fixed blades other than a Buck 119 and Schrade Golden Spike. I am pretty excited and thinking of selling a few pocket knives to make way for an ESEE 6 if I like the ESEE 4 as much as I think I will. Thanks to all the posters on this forum as I have read most all when making a decision on my first ESEE purchase.

Congrats on the new steel! You'll love the 4... It was my second, then came the 6

Looks like the ESEE addiction is claiming another soul!

Congrats, you'll love that 4.

Which 4 did you order? I got mine with the green blade and the orange G10 handles... AWESOME look, especially in combination with some orange paracord  Now I am thinking about those hot custom orange handles...

I got the RC-4P clip point with the Molle back and Molle locks. It has the black blade and "greyish" color handle. Bet the orange paracord does yours justice on the looks!

Nice one! I'm going to post some pics of my one as soon as I got hands on the 5/6 pouch and the FireKit... My dealer is out of stock atm and is waiting for the next package in about 2-3 weeks :grumpy:*grrrrrrrrr* Glad to be on holidays in Sweden for a week so the pain of waiting might not be that harsh to me :p But who knows? Maybe I come across a knife shop over there in "Malmo" and find some goodies for me ;)

Thanks for the kind comment about my knife and good luck on your search for goodies in Sweden. Off topic but, I am in the US, but my daughter is in school in Belgium and frequently travels to Germany. I am planning a trip to Berlin this summer.

Appreciate you trusting us wth your knife purchase. Hope the 4 serves you well. And thanks for being a part of the forum here!

What Jeff would like to add is:
What are your mental weak points?
At what point would the strain of mental abuse impel you to sell that knife?
How cheap could it go?

:D

Seriously, good choice. The 4 is on my radar and will likely be my next ESEE.

@mobenzowner and his trip to Berlin: It's a really nice place, especially in the summer with all those little coffee shops, bars and restaurants with their open-air pubs aka beer garden :D

But keep one thing in mind tho: a 4 is the maximum size allowed over here to carry with you so leave the Junglas(that you might have in summer cause the addiction is hard to stop) in your truck or you will find some new friends in dark blue uniforms quite fast :p

Congrats. My 4 actually paid ME.

After I got it, I started selling off all the crappers I never used anymore. :D

I actually have 15 knives picked out laying in the floor which I intend to put on fleabay...............ANd the bad thing is the ESEE isnt even here yet.

Congrats! I think the 4 is a good compromise on size. It fits well in your hand and is super sturdy for all types of use. You may want to pick up an Izula II if you'd like something a bit smaller to store in smaller locations.
