Hey guys, I owned a Camillus BK-7 for a long time and recently traded it. I decided to give the BK-2 a go and see what all the fuss is about. ;)

Being a lefty, I am glad the sheath is ambidextrous. My question, is there a place on or in the sheath to attach or carry a ferro rod? How about a small sharpening stone?

I'd love to set this up as a sort of "do it all" knife system. Are people using some other sheath to carry these things and other small odds and ends?

Thanks!

I'll follow this thread and hope to see some innovative solutions pop up while I wait for my BK2 to arrive. ;)

i know people are building their own sheaths and buying sheaths from custom makers on blade forums and elsewhere, i also have seen some great reviews and pictures of the spec ops sheaths.

Nothing but a knife glove comes with the BK2. Injection molded plastic, tight fitting and dulling. Yours may not dull your blade, but it might, only you will know that.

You can add holders and pouches to it, but you have to use the noggin a little to fix the small issues.

I personally have an ESEE5 sheath that I am carrying right now, and I am getting a Spec Ops sheath soon.

With a custom sheath, you can get the stuff you want, for not alot of money, contact a maker here on the forums, there are some great, great makers here.

Life is what you make of it, brother, and so is your BK2 sheath. Make it what you want it to be, the canvas is provided.

Ranger band, man - ranger band.

This is a BK11 sheath and the item is a flashlight not a stone or rod, but a big fatty ranger band should still work just fine.

i dont have any pics (SORRY) but what i did was wrap my sheath in paracord(tightly) and then i wedged a goinggear badger blank under certain paracord straps, with a striker. holds it in pretty secure

How did you make that "box" It looks professional!!

It's because I am professionally awesome.

The real secret was getting the required ingredients. To make an awesome box, first you must have the tears of a Moosez45. Hard to do, he only cries once every 700 years. Then, you must write the address of the Bladite on a sheet of lambskin. Then finally, you must put these things into a fire fueled by the shaving's of Flexxx's lathe, incant Ethan's name seventeen times backwards, and then sacrifice an ESEE 5 to a TacTool, all while wearing a vest.

Then, if you survive, you will wake up to a cloud of black smoke, and after it clears, you will find a box that will fit your BK2 sheath, as well as the devil waiting to take possession of your soul.

I may have forgotten to mention the forfeiture of your soul at the beginning there. My bad.

It seems I have do dust of my old Dungeons & Dragons rules... As I remember ther was a lot of that "Magic moose tears and Ethans moonshine breath...." and so on... ;)

I guess it depends if you are worried about looks or not. If a sheath doesn't have a storage pouch I just tape rods\mag bars\fire starting materials in tins, to the sheath. I also make sure that my fire starting materials are water proofed. I don't care how it looks, as long as it works when I need it.

If you look on my stats, threads I started, on the first page something like "What do you think of this?" or some jive. All the others pertaining to the box are nicely labeled BK2 Box.
