As the title says, just ordered the Great Eastern Cutlery: #47 - Harvester in gabon ebony. Really wanted a sheepsfoot but those are hard to find, so I'll be stalking the exchange for when one shows up for sale. But in the meantime I'll enjoy the #47. If I remember, I'll post pictures after I get it in the mail. Can't wait!!! This is my first traditional for my collection, but I plan on having it on me pretty much every day as a backup to my rotation of pocket clip EDCs.

So what do you guys think, did I make a good choice?

You bet you did! Pruners are fine knives that work hard and keep on coming. Some folks have modified that big hawksbill into a sheepfoot, and they look darn nice. Big Biscuit is one who did. Good choice and some food for thought I hope.
Thanks, Neal
PS-welcome to the porch! ;)

You are about to find out why that blade shape has stuck around for so long... I find the blade on that knife to be one of the more versatile blade shapes out there for edc.

I have been carrying a knife with a small pruner secondary all day.

Eta: I was thinking the 38 orchard originally, but this is also Very nice. You will enjoy it.

I put my 47 Hayn Helper to work for most of the day today, doing various jobs outside. Great knife, fills the hand, works well with gloves on. Love it.
