I just ordered my carbon fiber military in BG-42 so im pretty excited and just thought i'd post about it. I was surprised to see that spyderco still had some in stock. The added plus is i work at a spyderco dealer so i get a pretty significant discount :) . Anyone else have one of these? Love it? Hate it?

It is a large evolutionary step forwards in the design. :D

I just got mine today, your gonna love this knife! Mine has perfect lockup, grinds, centered blade. I was really suprised about the carbon scales being sooooo grippy! The bronze washers really make this thing solid and smooth with zero play. It's the best of the best. ;)

Great knive, as close to perfection as possible. Until that is I received my RatTrap, they have given Spyderco a run for their money. Pity they stopped production.

Your going to love it! Just don't pretend it is a pry bar or a screw driver and it will last a lifetime. Just the right shape and size and best cutter around. Beats the heck out of the much more expensive (dare we say overpriced?) "S" knives.

Mine came incredibly sharp out of the box, even sharper than my Jess Horn ZDP-189 knive.
Also perfectly centered and solid lockup with no play at all, not to mention really nice finish.
I only started picking up Spyderco knives a short while ago, and I'm so impressed with the smoothness and also ease of opening with the spyderhole that I'm not even interested in flicking my knives open any more.

Your gonna LOVE this knife, got mine about 3 weeks ago and Ive used it to cut lots and lots of stuff. But beware its SCARY SHARP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Zenheretic. It's a big step foreward and the best of the line. In my opinion, it was Spyderco's knife of the year, untill I bought the Caly 3. That's another story though. JL.

When you put it like that, I'm not sure I can agree with myself. When they change the lock on it, then it will be a big step forward. When I say evolutionary, I think little steps over time that result in big differences. :o

Take the current normal run Military. Add a new Matte CF Sprint. Then do a second sprint, again with Matte CF, add some internal liners, tighten up the lock tolerances that the first sprint suffered and add a new (old) wonder steel. Now fast forward to the future, have a new edition Military, with dual internal liners, matte CF, an even newer wonder steel, a new lock maybe the compression, maybe an as of yet undisclosed lock system....Great Googly Moogly it is barely the same knife, but has evolved into a whole new level of Military. ;)
