Well, I finally broke down and ordered one. After all these years.
Now, the long wait begins. I marked 6 weeks off on the calendar, so I know the last possible day I have to wait. My last folding hunter lasted me a good long time, I'm really looking forward to this one.

Here's the deal: I got the elk horn handle, with finger grooves and rivets, 420HC satin blade, and brass bolsters. Got my name engraved on the blade also. I'm pretty excited.

You will like the finger grooves.... I like the Elk without rivits though....but that is a classic look.Nice that you can personalize the knife if you want.
I had Chuck Buck sign mine and he put Evil Eye Earl on the blade.

Mine took a little over six weeks. Beautiful knife-stag handles. I'll probably order the Water Buffalo next.

What I did not like at all was the fact that they charged my credit card when it was shipped. I didn't know they would do that. I thought I paid for it when I ordered it. Maybe that info was on the order confirmation page, but I didn't see it, and when I went to the custom page FAQ's that question isn't answered.

It isn't a big thing, and I understand why they do it, and certainly think it's decent of them, but I was trying to budget certain purchases.

Isn't that the honorable thing to do??? I think the companies who charge you immediately and then backorder the merchandise are the scumbags... :grumpy:

I figured and budgeted that I would pay for it when I ordered it. This wasn't a backordered item, so I just assumed my card would get hit upon ordering. it's just an observation.

I ordered 2 110 customs back in January of this year. Mine took 8 weeks to get here.
It FELT LIKE 8 YEARS!!!!!!!! It was worth the wait!!!!!

I liked the fact the billed when they shipped! EXCELLENT customer service!
The only problem I had was they double billed me!!
I was really hoping to receive 2 sets of knives but that didnt happen :(
One quick phone call though and they had it fixed!
THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!! :D

They charged me the same day I ordered. Doesn't matter though, in my bookkeeping system once I spend money I figure it is gone. I don't worry too much about the balance the bank says I have, it is always high unless everybody cashed my check at once.

Many (probably most) people carry a balance on their CC and would most likely be upset to pay 6 - 8 weeks interest on something that had not even been shipped yet. Buck has it right. It seems to me they always go out of their way to do what is right. A RARE quality in the world today.

Remember that integrity if you ever have a warranty issue. None better !!

I just wish I had known, that's all. That kind of information is what should be on the FAQ.

Hey Gmountain,

I've used that same way of thinking. I ordered a custom holster and belt for my carry gun and had them bill me when I ordered 'cause with the lag time I was not sure if I would have the $ available when it was done.;)

Small world, but not that small.
